You will have the opportunity to work closely with our key partners to assess unauthorised developments and manage planning applications as part of the Development Management team. You will provide planning advice to customers and work together to provide satisfactory resolution to enforcement cases and appeals against enforcement notices.

These positions are open not only to planners but to professionals who may have worked in planning investigation or similar environments. You should be educated to degree/HND/SVQ4 level or willing to work towards this qualification level with experience of working with the general public and providing advice and guidance to a range of customers.  

An understanding and knowledge of planning policy, legislation and initiatives at local, regional and national levels is desirable.   

You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team within Planning and Place, who currently operate a hybrid model of home-working and office-based work at the Civic Centre in Motherwell. You will be required to travel throughout North Lanarkshire with occasional travel throughout the Glasgow City Region to undertake the duties of this post.

Working Pattern:

Monday - Thursday 08:45hr - 16:45hr

(55 minutes unpaid break)

Friday 08:45hr - 16:15hr

(50 minute unpaid break)
