Job Specification - Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Mate Immediate Requirement 6-Week Contract Location: M&S, Princes Street, Edinburgh Start Date: 19th October 2026 Duration: 6 Weeks Hours: 8:00pm - 6:00am (with the potential to finish earlier) Rate: £300-£325 per shift Job Overview We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Mate to join a project at M&S on Princes Street, Edinburgh, starting on 19th October for an initial 6-week contract. The role will involve minimal mechanical installation work, with the main responsibility being to provide attendance and support to the ongoing works on site. Key Responsibilities

• Providing mechanical attendance and support to site operations. Assisting with ongoing mechanical works and installation where required. Supporting other trades and ensuring works run smoothly throughout the shift. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment. Following all site health and safety
  
  procedures. Requirements Previous experience working on commercial mechanical projects. Good understanding of mechanical site operations. Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team. Relevant qualifications and CSCS/JIB card where applicable. What's on Offer £300-£325 per shift, depending on experience. 6-week contract with potential for further opportunities. Night shifts, 8pm-6am, with the possibility of finishing earlier.
