Policy & Standards Specialist

We are looking to recruit an experienced Financial Crime Policy & Standards Specialist into the Anti Financial Crime First Line of Defence team within M&G Life. The role is critical to ensuring M&G Life maintain a robust and sustained FC risk and control framework and will include supporting revision and implementation of standards, supporting the management and mitigation of FC risk and controls and providing subject matter expertise to the respective M&G Life businesses and associated change activity.,

• Provide regular updates to the Governance, Reporting & Oversight Team Lead on team activities, key initiatives, and emerging risks or trends.
• Provide input into Group-wide financial crime standards.
• Coordinate with the 1LoD Life FCO and business teams to ensure the effective implementation of Group Policy and Standards into financial crime operational processes.
• Manage 1LoD escalations and queries related to Policies and Standards and seek advice and guidance from the 2LoD Life Advisory team where required.
• Request, manage, track, renew, escalate and keep audit of rationale for BU Policy waivers, dispensations and exemptions.
• Coordinate with the 1LoD Life FCO and business teams to ensure the effective implementation of changes required in line with updates to the Group Policies or Standards.
  
  Significant experience within / understanding of operational financial crime teams.
• Experience in overseeing the implementation of financial crime frameworks within operational financial crime teams.
• Significant experience within financial crime, including Asset management sector knowledge and understanding of financial crime laws and regulations in the context of the sector.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders within the financial crime and business teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey complex information to stakeholders at all level.
