Full Job Description

  • Lead and deliver electrical building services designs (power, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, lifts, lightning protection, etc.) from concept to detailed design.
  • Demonstrate strong team-leading abilities, proven work-winning skills, solid commercial awareness, and confidence in client-facing environments.
  • Produce detailed calculations using tools such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Excel.
  • Prepare technical specifications, design reports, and client presentations.
  • Work with our BIM team-apply your working knowledge of Revit for modelling and drawings.
  • Attend and represent AtkinsRéalis in client and stakeholder meetings.
  • Undertake site surveys, inspections, and commissioning reviews.
  • Manage your own workload, ensuring excellence in delivery, time, and budget.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers as part of a growing team.

    Strong experience in Building Services Engineering with a passion for high-quality building design.
  • Curious, innovative, and eager to explore new ways of working.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
  • Working towards or holding Chartered status (IET, CIBSE or equivalent).
  • Skilled in industry software: Amtech/ProDesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS, Microsoft tools.
  • (High-Voltage design knowledge is a bonus.)
  • Solid understanding of UK technical standards and codes.
  • Familiar with energy reduction strategies, decarbonisation, and energy & carbon analytics.
  • Experience with commissioning, performance evaluation, and design for measurement & verification.
