Hours: 21 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term for 23 Months
Salary: £32,301 - £35,337 per annum

Job Purpose: To drive and support  change in the Highland Health & Social Care Partnership, focusing on efficiently delivering care outcomes in line with our strategic requirements. The post holder will have a senior role within the Highland Council’s People Cluster to lead & co-ordinate the design, build and delivery of care solutions, to support the transformation of business processes and functions associated with key parts of the Strategic Plan for the Partnership.  This is  supported by the Council’s commitment to funding for transformation  as part of the Council’s Operational Delivery Plan, Person Centred Portfolio.  Working in partnership with officers from NHS Highland will be key to success. 

The Principal Project Manager, as directed by the Portfolio Sponsor, will lead complex programmes to support the co-ordination of individual projects and management of inter-dependencies for the Portfolio. This includes, in particular, the co-ordination and implementation of new strategies for the partnership to enable effective change, leading to the realisation of projected outcomes and benefits consistent with the Strategic Plan.  Those strategies include a Care Home and linked Care at Home/Capacity Plan, in line with the Person Centred Portfolio.  

This post is suitable for hybrid working with an expectation that the post holder will be, on average, physically present in the office where necessary in order to be able to effectively carry out the requirements of the role.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate/data/business/digital and technology related subject; or 
  • Appropriate project and programme management qualification, other Relevant industry specific qualification (s) or experience; or 
  • Extensive relevant proven experience that demonstrates a similar level of knowledge and understanding.
