Production Operator

We are looking for a Production Operator to join our busy Sawmill. You will be part of a teamresponsible for creating a range of timber products as well as moving, sorting and packing timber.Whilst a lot of the tasks are automated, there will be some degree of manual handling, lifting,bending and twisting. No previous experience is required as full training will be given.Hours of work:47.5 hrs per week, 07:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday, with 30 minute unpaid lunch.Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensuring good housekeeping of workstations
• Operating sawmilling machinery
• Adhering to all Health, Safety and Quality standards and instructions
• Operation of Mobile Plant Vehicles
• Working towards set production targets
• Manual handling of timber
  
  Good communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team to achieve production goals and meet required standards
• Can follow written work instructions
• Must undertake all necessary training
• Have a flexible approach to work, understanding that you may undertake additional or other
duties necessary to meet the needs of the company
• Having previous experience of working in a manufacturing/construction environment would be
advantageous
