The Senior Project Engineer - Critical Power is responsible for providing senior-level engineering leadership and technical delivery support for mission-critical power projects across the UK and Europe. The role supports the execution of complex electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring critical power systems are designed, installed, commissioned, and handed over in line with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice. In addition to project delivery, the role plays a key part in building long-term technical capability within the organisation by supporting the training, development, and technical competence of Critical Power Depot and Field Service Technicians.,
- Provide senior engineering support for critical power projects including generator farms, load banks, transformers, UPS systems, standby generation, switchgear, MV/LV distribution, and associated control systems
- Review, validate, and approve electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and technical submittals
- Support project planning, sequencing, and technical delivery to meet programme milestones
- Manage engineering change control and support technical risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle
- Act as a subject matter expert for critical power systems across assigned projects
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to depot engineers, field service engineers and site teams
- Support FAT, SAT, and integrated systems testing for critical power infrastructure
- Ensure commissioning activities are planned, executed, and documented correctly
- Develop and deliver structured technical training for Critical Power Depot and Field Service Technicians
- Support onboarding and technical upskilling of technicians across UPS, generation, switchgear, and HV & LV power distribution systems.
