Project Engineer

At Highland Spring Group, we're looking for a Project Engineer to join our Engineering team and take ownership of a varied portfolio of engineering, CAPEX and improvement projects.This is a hands-on project delivery role where you'll manage engineering projects from initial concept and scope development right through to installation, commissioning and handover. You'll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and other teams across the business to turn opportunities into practical, sustainable solutions.The roleYou'll have real accountability for delivering projects safely, effectively and to plan - balancing technical requirements with cost, quality, timescale and operational priorities.Your responsibilities will include:Leading CAPEX projects from concept through to completionDeveloping project scopes, plans, programmes, budgets and resource requirementsSupporting the development and justification of capital investment proposalsManaging design, procurement, installation,
commissioning and effective handoverControlling project expenditure, forecasts, risks, issues and changesCoordinating suppliers and contractors, from quotation and technical specification through to site deliveryWorking closely with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to develop practical, maintainable solutions while minimising operational disruptionPlanning and coordinating shutdowns, overhauls and other engineering activityProviding clear project updates and influencing cross-functional project teamsDriving continuous improvement and ensuring new assets are successfully transitioned into operational and maintenance ownership.About youWe're looking for someone who combines strong engineering and project delivery capability with a genuine sense of ownership.You'll be organised, comfortable managing competing priorities and able to drive activity through to completion.
