Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a key business transformation initiative focused on driving operational efficiency and productivity improvements within a high-profile business area.

Working as part of a broader portfolio of change programmes, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of project outcomes, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, and ensuring successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working.

This role is ideal for a strong delivery professional who thrives in complex environments and has a proven track record of leading business change projects within regulated or public sector organisations.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience successfully delivering medium to large-scale business transformation projects.
• Strong track record of delivering projects within fast-paced and evolving environments.
• Expert knowledge of project management methodologies, frameworks, and delivery disciplines.
• Demonstrable experience delivering:
• Business process redesign
• Operating model transformation
• Technology-enabled change
• Organisational adoption and change initiatives
• Experience developing, refining, and implementing Target Operating Models (TOMs).
• Strong understanding of project governance, assurance, and reporting frameworks.
• Experience operating within public sector environments.
• Experience working with procurement processes and supplier management.
• Experience defining and scoping technology solutions to support business objectives.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Strong data analysis and decision-making skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tooling.
• Recognised Project or Programme Management qualification, such as:
• PRINCE2
• APM PMQ / PPQ
• MSP
• Equivalent certification

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience within land-based industries, forestry, environmental services, energy infrastructure, or renewables sectors.
• Understanding of systems and solutions used to manage casework, projects, commercial activity, and associated revenue streams.
• Knowledge of:
• Service Design
• Customer-Centred Design
• Value Stream Mapping
• Continuous Improvement methodologies
• Experience of public sector assurance frameworks and Gateway Review processes.
