Full Job Description

  • Project Engineering input to TAQA projects.

  • Provision of Project Engineering support in service of delivering the Subsea Disconnections Project in accordance with the Project's objectives.

  • The role may extend to support other Decommissioning activities as required., Include but may not be restricted to:

  • Preparation of Project control documents and processes and their upkeep.

  • Coordinate and preparation of Project deliverables required in service of progressing through the TAQA Stage Gate process.

  • Ensure execution of work and deliverables are compliant with Project requirements.

  • Produce the Project Schedule. Ensure regular updates to the Project Planner on activity progress. Facilitate Project input into the IAP process.

  • Lead the review and monitoring of the cost estimate and monthly reports.

  • Own the Project Risk Register. Ensure regular risk review sessions held with the Project Team and ensure that risk mitigation actions are appropriately tracked and closed out.

  • Own the Project Action Log.

  • Own the Project Decision Register.

  • Own the Lesson Learned Register. Ensure lessons learned sessions are held as required to ensure that lessons are appropriately captured to facilitate knowledge transfer to other TAQA Decommissioning Projects.

  • Compilation of work scopes and work specifications in service of Project requirements, including coordination of discipline deliverables and compilation of Orbit workpacks.

  • Provide input into the selection of specialist vendors.

  • Actively supports a working culture based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues and maintenance of a high level of asset integrity.

  • Overview of application of engineering principles to vendor/contractor scopes.

  • Plan and coordinate the execution of TAQA / vendor / contractor offshore scopes, ensuring safe delivery of scopes which are technically sound and delivered in line with the Project and platform's schedule within budget and to the agreed functionality.

  • Own the change management process for subsea disconnects and ensure change management is implemented when required

  • Undertake ad hoc offshore trips to facilitate and oversee key activities including the execution of planned surveys, platform preparation scopes and flushing.

    Past exposure to multi-discipline work and Subsea project workscopes. Tie backs, pipeline installation and scopes on offshore platforms

  • Previous project engineering experience

  • Design engineering awareness and good understanding of codes, standards, risk-based decision making, quality assurance and compliance, Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to create positive relations with peers and stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Proven track record of safety behaviors and attitude, coupled with the ability to work across multi discipline boundaries., Internal Project Team

  • Onshore Engineering, Operations, HSSEQ, Planning and Decommissioning Teams

  • Offshore Operations Teams

    This position is open to both staff and contractors. Internal contractors that apply and are successful will remain with their current contracting company.
