Full Job Description
- Booking and liaising with contractors for maintenance issues, keeping all parties up to date.
- Processing property applications
- Referencing prospective tenants
- Arranging inventories and check-ins for incoming tenants
- Arranging end of tenancy check outs and dilapidation reports
- Dealing with deposit releases
- Lease preparation
- Dealing with any landlord and tenant queries in a timely manner
- Submitting insurance claims and deposit disputes for landlords and tenants
- Arranging property inspections with tenants and reporting to Landlords with feedback
- Serving the relevant notice on Tenancies
- Dealing with contractor invoicing
- HMO Licensing
- Assisting colleagues with administrative duties and issues and any other tasks as required.
A full, clean UK driver's licence. - Strong IT skills (Word, Excel etc.)
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A strong working knowledge of current legislation surrounding property letting and management in Edinburgh including the Letting Agent Code of Practice.
- A professional and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to prioritise and manage time in order to meet deadlines.
- A high standard of customer care.
- Ability to keep calm under pressure.
- An ability to confidently handle all aspects of looking after a portfolio of properties.
- An interest in the property letting sector.
- One to two years' property management experience working in an Edinburgh based Letting Agency.
- ARLA qualification (Technical Award in Residential Property Letting & Management - Scotland) or equivalent.
- A good knowledge of Edinburgh and the surrounding areas., As a Property Manager, you must be well organised, articulate, have excellent administration skills and the ability to work well within our small team and on your own. Strength of character is vital as there is a high percentage of decision making involved.
DRM Residential, a well-established property letting and management company based in Morningside, are looking for a new Trainee Property Manager/Property Manager to join our small, friendly team.
