Your new company
We are recruiting for an experienced Property Services Assistant to join a busy Property Services team within a well-established Housing Association in Glasgow.This is a varied role providing administrative and customer service support across reactive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance, contractor management and statutory compliance. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for tenants, contractors and internal colleagues, helping to ensure repairs and inspections are coordinated efficiently.
Your new role
- Managing repair requests and raising works orders
- Coordinating repairs, inspections and contractor appointments
- Liaising with tenants, contractors and maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of works
- Monitoring progress of reactive, planned and cyclical maintenance programmes
- Supporting statutory compliance activities, including gas, electrical safety, asbestos and legionella programmes
- Maintaining property, compliance and asset management records
- Processing contractor invoices and monitoring repair completion
- Assisting with contractor performance monitoring and service improvement initiatives
- Supporting customer satisfaction surveys, complaints handling and service feedback processes
- Producing reports and performance information relating to repairs and maintenance service
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working within a property services, repairs, maintenance or social housing environment
- Knowledge of repairs processes and contractor management
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and housing/property management systems
- The ability to build effective relationships with tenants, contractors and colleagues
