Job Description

Additional Information for Applicants

Applications are invited for the post of PSA (Early Level). The vacancy arises as a result of additional ASN monies from Scottish Government.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PSA for Early Level to join the central Inclusion Service which has been reviewed recently. The role will provide applicants with the opportunity to be part of a new Early Level outreach team and provide assistance to ELC settings, schools, learners and families alike.

The Early Level team will be based in MAC Central in Elgin (formerly East End Primary School Annex), with the main working environment of this team being peripatetic to react to the needs of individual children and schools. This team sits within the wider central Inclusion Service which includes three Flexible Learning Resource teams which support primary schools, one within MAC Central to support central Moray and two outreach teams supporting East and West Moray. The central Inclusion Service also includes Pinefield Project and Resource Centre which provides an adapted curriculum for secondary aged pupils, with close working with the Youth Justice Team, and the Moray Adapted Curriculum provision, which supports primary and secondary learners with a flexible and adapted curriculum personalised to need. In addition to this there is a Deaf and Visual Education Team, an English as an Additional Language Team and a team of trainers providing professional learning aligned to the Moray Staged Intervention model. This is very much one service where cross team working is supported and encouraged to best serve the needs of all young people and their families.
