Broxburn Academy is a six-year comprehensive school serving the areas of Broxburn, Uphall, Uphall Station, Pumpherston and Dechmont. We work closely with our cluster primaries which include Broxburn P.S, Kirkhill P.S, Uphall P.S, Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community P.S to ensure a consistent and holistic approach. Our current school roll is 785.

Broxburn Academy are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and hardworking individual to join our support team as an Advanced Pupil Support Worker to support learning and teaching. Under the teacher’s direction you will support pupil learning, organise resources and carry out duties relating to pupil pastoral support and personal care. They will promote an ethos of achievement through the development of positive relationships and will have due regard for the health and safety of the young people they are working with. Fixed term until 15^th August 2027, working 8 hours per week over two days between Monday to Thursday.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate.

The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18. The £59 cost (where appropriate) will be deducted from your salary over a 1 or 3-month period by repayment schedule. If your employment concludes before the amount is re-paid in full, the outstanding balance will be deducted from your final salary.
