Full Job Description
Duratec is seeking a proactive Purchasing Officer to join our Wangara based team for a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a hands on, varied, fast-paced role. This role is vital for maintaining an organised and efficient stores and yard environment to support our ongoing projects.,
- Purchase materials, consumables, PPE, minor plant, and equipment as required
- Check incoming shipments to ensure orders are correct and meet specifications
- Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer documentation for accounting purposes
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Undertake general yard maintenance and housekeeping duties related to stores operations
- Maintain warehouse in a tidy, safe, and easily accessible condition with stores and workshop staff
- Coordinate building maintenance contractors for office repairs and services.
To be successful in this role, you must have: - Current C-A Class Driver's Licence (minimum requirement)
- Current High Risk Forklift Licence (an advantage)
- Previous purchasing, customer service, or warehousing experience
- Practical minded with strong time management and problem-solving skills
- IT savvy (ordering systems, emails, basic administration)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A strong team-player attitude with the ability to work independently
