The Role


As a Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring goods and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with organisational standards.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Managing day-to-day purchasing activity and associated administration with accuracy and professionalism
  • Ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality goods and services to meet operational needs
  • Sourcing suppliers and negotiating the best solutions across cost, quality, delivery, and service
  • Building strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting and coordinating third-party logistics activity
  • Monitoring and providing feedback on approved supplier performance
  • Supporting wider procurement activities and projects as required
  • Occasional travel when necessary

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role

Desirable:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
