Quality Inspector - Night Shift (Fab Welding)

We're looking for a Quality Inspector to join our night shift team in Tranent, checking fabricated and welded steelwork before it leaves the workshop. If you're detail driven, confident with drawings and measuring tools, and take real pride in quality, this role is for you. You'll train on day shift, then move onto a permanent night shift once up to speed. What you'll do

• Inspect fabricated and welded steel against drawings and standards
• Measure tolerances using gauges, calipers and hand tools
• Identify, record and resolve quality issues with Supervisors
• Complete inspection and quality documentation
• Carry out NDT and final sign off before release
  
  Experience reading fabrication or engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
• Confident using inspection and measuring equipment
• Fabrication or engineering qualification
• Knowledge of BS EN 1090 or NSSS
• CSWIP or PCN NDT qualification or working towards
