Overview

This role would suit someone who enjoys a mix of laboratory testing, problem‑solving and collaboration with production teams, and who wants to develop their experience within a structured quality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and specialised laboratory testing on yarn, loomstate, dyed and coated fabrics
• Ensure results meet internal and customer specifications, escalating issues where necessary
• Accurately record test results and maintain laboratory documentation for audit purposes
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Raise and support non-conformances and corrective actions
• Work closely with production teams to provide real-time quality feedback
• Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits and continuous improvement activities
• Assist with new product trials and preparation of customer samples
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures within the laboratory

Experience & Skills Required

• Previous experience in a quality, laboratory or manufacturing environment (textiles preferred)
• Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 standards
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Clear communication skills and a proactive approach
• Awareness of 5S standards and good housekeeping practices
