Quality Lab Analyst
Location: Kirriemuir
Pay Rate: 14.30 per hour
Shift Pattern: Double day shifts
Job Type: Full-time
Overview
Are you someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys hands‑on laboratory work, and wants to see the real impact of quality on production? This is a great opportunity to step into a key role within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where quality, consistency and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.
This role would suit someone who enjoys a mix of laboratory testing, problem‑solving and collaboration with production teams, and who wants to develop their experience within a structured quality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and specialised laboratory testing on yarn, loomstate, dyed and coated fabrics
- Ensure results meet internal and customer specifications, escalating issues where necessary
- Accurately record test results and maintain laboratory documentation for audit purposes
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Raise and support non-conformances and corrective actions
- Work closely with production teams to provide real-time quality feedback
- Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits and continuous improvement activities
- Assist with new product trials and preparation of customer samples
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures within the laboratory

Experience & Skills Required
- Previous experience in a quality, laboratory or manufacturing environment (textiles preferred)
- Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 standards
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clear communication skills and a proactive approach
- Awareness of 5S standards and good housekeeping practices
