Quality Technician
Glenrothes, Fife
4-day working week | Rotating Days & Nights
We are recruiting for a Quality Technician to join an established manufacturing business based in Glenrothes.
This is a hands-on role working closely with Production to ensure materials and finished products meet the required quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
What you'll be doing
- Inspecting and testing incoming raw materials
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Testing and inspecting finished products against specifications
- Recording test and inspection results accurately
- Identifying and reporting non-conforming materials or products
- Supporting investigations into quality issues, customer complaints and returns
- Maintaining quality and inspection documentation
- Working closely with Production and other departments to resolve quality issues
- Supporting audits and working within established quality procedures
- Contributing to continuous improvement activities
What we're looking for
We are interested in speaking with candidates who have some practical experience of quality, inspection or testing within a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience of the following would be beneficial:
- Product or material inspection and testing
- Working to specifications and quality standards
- Non-conformances or quality investigations
- ISO or other Quality Management Systems
- Recording and maintaining quality documentation
- Using inspection or testing equipment
- Continuous improvement
Some training can be provided, and the company is particularly interested in people with the right attitude, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Once trained, you will need to be comfortable working independently and making appropriate quality decisions during your shift.
Hours & Shift Pattern
Following an initial 4-6 week training period working Monday-Friday on day shift, you will move onto an alternating days and nights pattern:
Week 1: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-6:00pm
Week 2: Monday-Thursday, 6:00pm-6:00am
