Full Job Description



We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team, based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in either housing/ affordable housing, or a  sub-contractor from the housing sector.






Key responsibilities:




- Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the management of the project budget, ensuring that all financial targets are met


- Preparing and submitting accurate tender documents and bills of quantities


- Managing sub-contractors and ensuring their work is completed to a high standard and within budget


- Assisting with cost value reconciliations and producing reports on project progress


- Assisting with the measurement and valuation of variations and payments


- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation is up to date and stored correctly


- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project




Requirements:




- A degree in Quantity Surveying or related field


- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally, with a focus on housing / affordable housing projects


- Experience in managing sub-contractors and working with them to achieve project goals


- Excellent communication and negotiation skills


- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines


- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work


- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software packages
