An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a busy and growing fit-out contractor with established offices in both Edinburgh and Glasgow.The business has enjoyed significant growth and delivers an impressive range of fit-out and refurbishment projects up to 5million, working across defence, government and private-sector clients, alongside high-quality CAT A and CAT B commercial fit-outs.

The Role
Joining an established commercial team and working closely with a supportive Commercial Director and experienced operations team, you will take commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Typical responsibilities will include:

• Commercial management of fit-out and refurbishment projects
• Subcontractor procurement and management
• Cost planning, forecasting and reporting
• Applications, valuations and variations
• Contract administration and commercial risk management
• Final account negotiation
• Working closely with project and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery

What Are We Looking For?

You will ideally be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in fit-out, refurbishment or general contracting. Our clients are open to candidates with different project experience.
Experience of CAT A or CAT B fit-out projects would be particularly attractive, although candidates from a broader main contracting background will also be considered.You should be commercially astute, comfortable managing your own workload and enjoy working as part of a collaborative project team.
