R&D Scientist

NCIMB Ltd, a leading Scottish biotechnology company, is seeking a talented and motivated R&D Scientist to join our expanding Microbial Platform Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to both ongoing and new research projects in a dynamic and innovative environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support the delivery of R&D projects through microbiological and molecular biology techniques. 
• Contribute to the development and optimisation of laboratory protocols. 
• Collaborate effectively within a small, multidisciplinary team. 

Essential Qualifications & Experience 

• BSc or MSc (or equivalent) in Biological Sciences or a related discipline. 
• Hands-on experience with standard microbiological and molecular techniques. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. 

Desirable Attributes 

• Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001:2015 and cGMP. 
• A proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement. 
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
