A leading independent firm of Chartered Surveyors is looking to expand its specialist Rating team due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work. Your new role

You will join a well-established Rating team, advising a diverse range of commercial clients on business rates, liabilities, appeals and valuation matters. Working across a varied property portfolio, you will play a key role in helping clients minimise costs and maximise value.Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing business rates appeals and negotiations.
• Reviewing rating assessments and identifying appeal opportunities.
• Conducting property inspections and valuation analysis.
• Preparing reports and providing strategic advice to clients.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Supporting wider professional services and valuation work where required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree qualified in Real Estate, Surveying, Property or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in rating, valuation, general practice or another commercial property discipline is advantageous.
• MRICS qualified, APC enrolled, or looking to pursue chartership.
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
• A proactive approach and genuine interest in building a career within rating consultancy.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
