Full Job Description

We're looking for a Regional Health Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join our Scottish Construction team based in Stepps., Location: Stepps (Office) - Some travel across project sites in Scotland RequiredHours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Kier is a leader in the Tier 1 contracting environment, working to the highest standards of safety across our sites. Our Scottish Construction business delivers a range of projects within education, healthcare, MOJ, MOD, Heritage and Retrofit, with projects varying from £10M to over £100M. As our Regional Health Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our safety culture remains unrivalled, supporting our teams to put safety at the top of their priorities when delivering high value, technically complex projects.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Regional Health Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you'll be working within the Scottish Construction team, supporting them in maintaining and improving health, safety and wellbeing standards across all projects. Your day to day will include:

-Advising on all aspects of health, safety and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with Kier Group standards and current legislation

-Assessing supply chain health and safety plans, carrying out regular audits and inspections, and promoting best practice across sites

-Creating comprehensive health and safety plans for all activities and embedding these across the supply chain

-Spending significant time on site ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with agreed systems of work

-Driving implementation of health, safety and wellbeing initiatives and strategy objectives, whilst chairing meetings to ensure effective planning and coordination

You hold a NEBOSH Diploma Level 3 and NEBOSH Construction Certification, with membership of a professional body (minimum Tech IOSH) or are working towards this

-You have substantial experience in a health and safety role within a construction main contracting environment

-You can demonstrate implementation and management of health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across large or multiple projects

-You have high level knowledge of health, safety and wellbeing standards, legislation and industry best practice, plus working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001

-You hold a Full driving licence and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and clients
