REGISTERED CARE HOME MANAGER
Glasgow | Circa £60,000 per annum | Full-Time, Permanent
An exciting leadership opportunity within an established, highly regarded 68-bedded nursing and residential care home in Glasgow.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and forward-thinking Registered Care Home Manager to lead a well-established service delivering high-quality nursing, residential, dementia and complex care.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished care professional who combines compassionate leadership with strong operational expertise, commercial awareness and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for residents.
About the Service
Our purpose-built, 68-bedded care home is situated in a residential area in the north of Glasgow, providing a welcoming and supportive environment across three dedicated care communities.
The service offers nursing, residential, dementia and specialist support for individuals with a broad range of assessed care needs.
We are proud of our established multidisciplinary team, strong community connections and person-centred approach.
Our most recent Care Inspectorate inspection recognised Very Good (Grade 5) standards in both residents' wellbeing and the care environment, with Good (Grade 4) grades across leadership, staffing and care planning.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational, clinical governance and commercial performance of the home, ensuring consistently high standards of care, regulatory compliance and positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing visible, inspirational leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintaining and continuously improving Care Inspectorate standards and compliance.
- Overseeing clinical governance, safeguarding, quality assurance and risk management.
- Driving occupancy, financial performance and operational efficiency without compromising care quality.
- Developing and supporting a positive, accountable and motivated workforce.
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, commissioners, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
- Promoting a culture of dignity, compassion, inclusion and continuous improvement.
About You
NMC registration is highly desirable; however, applications from experienced non-clinical care home managers will be welcomed and considered.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven successful management experience within a nursing home or comparable complex adult care environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Scottish care legislation, the Health and Social Care Standards and Care Inspectorate requirements.
- The appropriate professional qualifications, leadership experience and eligibility to achieve registration with the SSSC or NMC, as applicable.
- A demonstrable record of achieving and sustaining high-quality regulatory outcomes.
- Sound commercial acumen, including budget management, occupancy and workforce planning.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and people-management skills.
- The confidence, integrity and resilience to lead a busy and diverse care service.
Above all, we are looking for someone who genuinely cares about people, can inspire others and understands that outstanding care is achieved through strong leadership, professional accountability and a positive team culture.
What We Offer
Competitive salary circa £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
You will have the opportunity to lead an established service, supported by an experienced operational team and wider organisational resources, with the autonomy to influence service development and make a meaningful difference.

We would welcome applications from suitably experienced professionals who are ready to take the next step in their leadership career.
Please submit your CV and a covering letter outlining your relevant experience and suitability for the position.
