Stroke/Neuro Rehabilitation & Stroke Liaison Service have exciting opportunities available to join our nursing teams across all our specialist areas. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of the Stroke/Neuro Pathway within Tayside.The Stroke/Neuro Rehabilitation Unit is a 32 bedded unit based at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Dundee. We are looking forward thinking individuals who will deliver holistic and patient centred care. All applicants should possess excellent communication and people skills along with evidence of continued professional development.

The aim of the service is to provide evidence based best practice and person-centred care in collaboration with patients and their family to maximise rehabilitation following Stroke or other acquired brain injury in an inpatient setting. There are also opportunities to rotate staff from inpatient rehabilitation and work within stroke liaison service providing ongoing assessment and support in a community setting.

As well as facilitating high quality rehabilitation, the interdisciplinary team works in partnership with all agencies providing care and support for this group of people.

We are looking for forward thinking individuals to join a team of established nurses.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register

Hours of work are:  37 hours (part time hours available)

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
