Full Job Description

This is a permanent role providing flexible nursing cover across our services. You will not be permanently assigned to one care home; instead, you will work across our homes according to operational requirements, including covering vacancies, sickness, annual leave and other staffing requirements.,

  • Work flexibly across Keane Premier Healthcare's six care homes according to operational and clinical requirements.
  • Lead shifts and provide effective clinical leadership within the service in which you are working.
  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality, person-centred nursing care.
  • Safely administer medications and treatments in line with professional standards and Company policies.
  • Monitor the health and wellbeing of the people we support, recognising signs of deterioration and taking appropriate clinical action.
  • Complete clinical assessments, care planning, reviews and risk assessments tailored to individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the people we support, their families, GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, paramedics and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Maintain accurate care records, medication records and clinical documentation.
  • Support, supervise and mentor care staff, providing clinical guidance and leadership.
  • Promote safeguarding, infection prevention and safe clinical practice.
  • Contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives and inspection readiness.
  • Familiarise yourself with and follow the local arrangements, care plans and procedures of each service in which you work.
  • Ensure care is delivered in line with NMC standards, Health & Social Care Standards, Care Inspectorate requirements and Company policies.

  • Current NMC registration with an active Nursing PIN.
  • A minimum of one year's post-registration nursing experience.
  • Previous care home nursing experience.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, medication management and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Experience assessing needs, developing person-centred care plans and reviewing outcomes.
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • Confidence leading shifts and providing clinical guidance to care teams.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively across different services, teams, routines and clinical needs.
  • Flexibility to work both day and night shifts across our six care homes according to operational requirements.
  • Ability to travel between our care homes in Cambuslang, Rutherglen, Mount Vernon and East Kilbride as required.
  • A compassionate, professional and person-centred approach to care.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining high clinical standards.
  • Experience in dementia care, mentoring colleagues or undertaking additional clinical training would be advantageous but is not essential. This role requires PVG Scheme membership (or willingness to obtain) and satisfactory references in line with Safer Recruitment guidance.
