Salary: £12,953.44 - £14,009.34 per annum

Role Purpose
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registrar based in Eyemouth.
Working as part of a team of Registrars across the Scottish Borders, you will provide a professional and compassionate registration service that supports people at some of the most significant moments in their lives. Whether registering births, deaths, marriages or civil partnerships, you will play an important role in delivering essential services that make a real difference to your local community.
You will conduct marriage and civil partnership ceremonies and should be confident and competent in public speaking. The ability to engage with people from a wide range of backgrounds, while delivering ceremonies in a professional, warm and respectful manner, is essential.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, learns quickly, and has excellent IT and customer service skills. You will be confident communicating with a wide range of customers, able to work accurately under pressure, and committed to delivering a high standard of service.
Essential
At least 5 SCE Standard Grades at level 3 or above (or equivalent) including English or equivalent experience
Commitment and ability to achieve an appropriate level of Customer Service qualification or SVQ level 2
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
