Role Purpose
This post should appeal to experienced drivers who are looking for a flexible job working around a full time fleet of vehicles and drivers. The role is varied driving different vehicle types across several locations in the Scottish Borders. Please note that there are a number of positions available and we welcome applicants with a variety of backgrounds and work experience. Drivers Licence check, References and PVG (Disclosure) checks will be required for this role and candidates will be provided with full training prior to deployment. Depending on skills and experience opportunities exist for drivers from the Relief pool to apply for more permanent roles up to 37 hours per week full time.

- Full manual driving licence with minimum Category D1 (minibus).
- A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement for this post.
- If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
