Relief Mental Health Officer, Aberdeen
We are looking for a registered Social Worker who holds a Mental Health Officer qualification to undertake occasional MHO work when Shetland patients are in hospital in Aberdeen. Hours are flexible.
The post-holder will predominantly be engaged in Mental Health Officer related tasks, as required by the legislation, but will also provide a social work and care management service as and when required.
The successful candidate will be employed by Shetland Islands Council but based in the Aberdeen area, and will work on a relief basis as agreed with the Team Leader – Mental Health. Although the post-holder will be working remotely regular support will be provided when required from the Team Leader and MHO colleagues. Regular supervision will also be provided.
A laptop, phone and any other necessary equipment will be provided to enable the successful candidate to carry out their duties.

- Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
