Full Job Description
Vigilant Security are offering an exciting opportunity for a security professional to join our expanding team, working with a high-profile client located in Edinburgh. The officer will be responsible for servicing many sites in Edinburgh.
Scope: Relief for static guarding at any of our 22 sites across the city.
Relief driver to our mobile response / patrol staff, (nights or weekend only).
Future opportunities for supervisor posts when available.
SIA Licence and Driving License is required. The officer will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day security requirements at various prestigious sites, maintaining a good corporate image and high standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
1. Mobile Patrols, Lock ups and unlocks
2. To undertake response to alarm activations on request from the communications centre.
3. Undertake site visit inspections in accordance with management instructions.
4. Proficient use of relevant communications equipment.
5. Ensuring all H&S policies are adhered to.
6. Assist staff and visitors to the sites.
7. Ensuring that no un-authorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas.
8. Maintaining an accurate record of any incidents that occur.
9. In addition to these functions' employees are required to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required.
10. Always maintain a high security awareness
11. Undertake patrols and inspections in accordance with management instructions.
Key Accountabilities Mobile Team/Keyholding:
1. Ensure the company vehicle is always road worthy (Daily Vehicle Checks).
2. Respond to all alarm activations in a timely manner.
3. Accurately report all findings from alarm activations.
4. Maintaining an accurate record of any incidents that occur using the appropriate reporting procedure.
5. Unlock / lock up client's premises in line with the Assignment Instructions and client's procedures.
6. Ensure all relevant information is passed over on handover
7. Complete schedules to record site visits.
8. Complete all required key registers and seal logs.
9. Inform line managers of any changes to details/job specifics/issues at site.
1. Current SIA license.
2. Full Clean driving licence (held for a minimum of 5 years)
3. Experience with Mobile and key Holding duties preferred.
4. Smart and confident.
5. Reliable and self-motivated.
6. Flexible approach to work.
7. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Good I.T Skills, use of Samsung Tablet
9. Customer/client awareness.
