Full Job Description
I am supporting a family to recruit a self-employed carer for respite overnight sleepover care. This role is to support a lovely lady with dementia, who is 91 years old, in the West End of Dundee. Females only need apply as permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
She enjoys watching TV, likes listening to music and likes going out for meals and to shows. She also likes to take part in singing and activities at her local Community Support Club.

The PA will have a private bedroom to sleep in overnight, and the main part of the role will be to be there in case the supported person wakens in the night and to assist. The current carers will finish at 10PM, after the supported person is settled in bed for the night, and the overnight carer can take over. When the role ends at 8AM, the next carer will arrive in the morning to start the morning care. There is no requirement for support with medication, meals, moving or personal care with this role.
PVG membership is essential:
A driving licence would be desirable;

Hours of work: To be discussed with Employer regarding when this will be required, but will be overnight care from 10PM to 8AM.
Rate of Pay: To be discussed with the employer.
