Salary: SCP 23-26 (£32,458 - £35,620) per annum

Contract: Permanent

Work pattern: 35 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday

Location: Glasgow (home-agile worker with travel requirement across group stock and Group offices)

About the role

The Repairs, Investment and Compliance Assistant will support the effective delivery of compliance and investment activities across Wheatley Group Stock, helping ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality landlord assurance and customer service, supporting the effective management, compliance, and improvement of housing assets. You’ll contribute to investment and asset management programmes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards, while maintaining a strong customer focus.

You will have day to day responsibility for certain key aspects, including:

  • Carrying out inspections and audits
  • Identifying and resolving quality issues
  • Supporting complaint resolution
  • Monitoring contractor performance
  • Providing technical advice to frontline teams

You’ll assist with planning and delivering cyclical compliance and capital investment programmes, ensuring value for money and accurate data management. Working closely with senior colleagues, you’ll develop professional knowledge and skills, ensuring compliance with health and safety, regulatory, and organisational standards while supporting community sustainability and customer satisfaction.


Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a motivated individual who is organised, customer-focused and able to work effectively within a busy operational environment.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience within social housing, property maintenance, or compliance environment. We also welcome applications from recent graduates in the built environment who are looking to develop their career within housing, compliance and asset management.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and workloads
  • Attention to detail and accurate record keeping
  • Confidence working with contractors, colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive approach to problem solving
  • Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office systems

The following would be desirable

  • Knowledge of planned maintenance or statutory compliance services
  • Experience supporting inspections, audits or contractor management
  • Understanding of health and safety and customer safety requirements within housing
  • A relevant qualification, or commitment to continuous professional development would also be beneficial
