Resort Sous Chef

It is a varied operation with genuine autonomy and real scope to develop. As Sous Chef you will work closely with the Executive Chef on menu planning and implementation, take responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen, and play a key role in leading and developing the wider team. Stock control, ordering and health and safety compliance also fall within the remit.

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join a luxury country estate in East Lothian. This is a quality led operation working with premium produce. The Sous Chef will support both the private dining and clubhouse operations, covering catering across the estate's main house, premium events and bespoke private dining., The ideal Resort Sous Chef will have multi outlet experience and significant experience in a quality driven kitchen, a proven ability to manage and develop a team, and the drive and creativity to help shape the food offering. A 4 or 5 star hotel or resort background would be advantageous, and rosette experience is desirable though not essential. This is a great opportunity for a Sous Chef looking to settle into a well established operation with excellent development opportunities and a strong team culture.
