Full Job Description
Your new company
You'll be joining a leading independent chartered accountancy and business advisory firm with an outstanding reputation across Scotland. Offering the quality and complexity of work typically associated with larger firms, whilst retaining the collaborative culture and accessibility of an independent practice, the business provides an excellent platform for career development. With a strong track record of promoting from within and developing future leaders, this is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious insolvency professional looking to take the next step in their career.
Your new role
Joining an established and highly regarded restructuring team, you will take ownership of a varied and complex portfolio of insolvency cases from appointment through to closure. Working closely with experienced managers and senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality case administration while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and professional standards.
You will prepare statutory reports and documentation, maintain accurate case records, liaise with clients, creditors and other stakeholders, and ensure cases progress efficiently whilst meeting key deadlines. Alongside your technical responsibilities, you will provide guidance and support to more junior team members, contribute to workflow management and help drive operational improvements that enhance service delivery.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of complex assignments, significant client interaction and genuine opportunities to develop leadership experience, making it an ideal step for an insolvency professional looking to progress towards management.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have proven insolvency experience gained within a professional services environment, alongside a recognised insolvency qualification such as CPI, CPPI, CPCI or equivalent.
You will possess strong technical knowledge of insolvency legislation and case administration, coupled with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively. Strong communication skills, excellent organisational ability and a high level of attention to detail are essential. You will also be a collaborative and proactive individual who enjoys working as part of a successful team while taking ownership of your own responsibilities.
What you'll get in return
You will benefit from a competitive salary, structured professional development, ongoing mentoring and the opportunity to build your expertise within a respected and growing restructuring practice.
The firm offers a highly attractive benefits package, including hybrid working with up to 40% remote working, generous annual leave entitlement with the option to purchase additional days, paid professional memberships, a contributory pension scheme, TOIL, wellbeing support through an Employee Assistance Programme and a range of employee discounts. Additional benefits include birthday leave, paid leave for moving home, volunteering opportunities, referral bonuses and regular social and recognition events.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career with a firm that values professional excellence, collaboration, integrity and continuous development.
