Full Job Description

You will be a dedicated and experienced retail professional. You will lead by example and inspire our retail team to maximise sales and deliver excellent customer service. You will continually look at ways to develop and improve performance across the areas that you are responsible for.

You will have excellent communication skills and demonstrate a coaching management style, being clear, open and honest. You will ensure retail staff, trainees and volunteers are trained to the highest of standards whilst having the ability to take corrective action when necessary.

You will have a positive, can-do attitude towards the role. With a record of meeting targets you will be self-motivated to get the best from your team.
Accountable To
The post-holder will work closely with and report to the Operations Director across the range of activities covered by the post.
Working Relationships

The Retail Manager will be supported by the Operations Director and will work closely with other members of the New Start Highland team.

  • Key Tasks & Duties
  • Analysing our current retail offer then recommending and implementing improvements

  • Ensuring stock is well presented on all sites and offer is consistent with brand guidelines.

  • Organising all Retail operations and allocating responsibilities to staff.

  • Liaising with Furniture service to ensure stock available for all outlets.

  • Supporting staff trainees and volunteers to deliver excellent customer service across all outlets.

  • Recording customer feedback, addressing any issues that arise in a professional manner

  • Collaborating with the Marketing Director to deliver initiatives, promotions and events to attract and retain customers.

  • Monitoring financial results and ensuring performance data is kept up to date.

  • Ensuring all outlets adhere to health and safety regulations and other regulatory requirements.

  • Communicating clearly and effectively with other members of the team and the general public in a courteous manner that promotes a positive image

  • Acting within the values and culture of New Start Highland with accountability and professionalism.

  • The salary dependent on experience.

    There will be an opportunity to participate in a contributory pension scheme.
