The first phase of the castle is due to open late spring/summer which will be an exciting time. We are recruiting a Retail Sales Assistant to work alongside our Golf and Agronomy team and playing an important role in delivering the DLC culture to create memorable visits and experiences for our members and visiting guests to our newly renovated golf course here in Perthshire, due to open 2025.

Acting as the first point of contact for our members and their guests ensuring they receive a warm welcome. Dealing with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner whether in person, through a phone call or via email. Providing golfers with all the relevant information they require for a successful game and day on the course.

Familiarise yourself with as much information as you can about products and merchandise for sale in the pro-shop as well as pricing, promotions and services available. Advising guests accordingly, have a genuine interest in retail products. Upsell and rent golf merchandise and related items (such as golf balls, clubs, shoes, jackets, bags, carts).

Assist the Director of Golf with the stock selection and ordering A keen and creative eye; displaying of merchandise to the standard associated with a DLC Club.

Ensuring all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in line with the agreed procedures. Maintaining records of the operation/sales of the pro-shop; providing sales reports as required. Assist with periodic stock takes and inventory records of merchandise. Keeping the retail space and professional-shop tidy and well maintained at all times.

Previous experience of working in a similar role and/or retail environment. Accuracy with billing and efficient cash handling skills. A high standard of personal presentation together with excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
