Risk and Resilience Administrator

The University of Strathclyde’s Directorate of Safety, Wellbeing and Resilience are seeking to appoint an experienced administrator to provide support for the programme of work to develop, maintain and implement the University’s Risk and Business Continuity Management frameworks.

As part of a small team building the University’s resilience capability, the Risk and Resilience Administrator will be responsible for responding to first line enquiries and provision of initial advice in a professional manner, operating a variety of IT systems to assist the efficient operation of the Risk and Resilience function and supporting the development of processes including documentation, training and exercises for implementation across the University.

The ideal candidate will be approachable and efficient, with a motivation to contribute to the team and wider Directorate’s objectives. Remaining calm under pressure and working to tight deadlines, you will be able to act on your own initiative with limited supervision to prioritise workload. Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be essential in order to successfully build relationships across the institution, and deal with various scenarios with colleagues and other interested parties.

The successful candidate must be educated to minimum HNC/HND level in a relevant discipline or have significant relevant experience, with strong administration and a high level of IT competency including SharePoint and Microsoft Office. Ideally you will have worked within the Higher Education Sector or in a large complex organisation. Knowledge of risk management and business continuity would be beneficial.
