Rural Surveyor/Senior Associate - Perth
Perth
Bell Ingram is looking for an experienced Rural Surveyor to join our team in Perth covering Central Scotland and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's leading independent firms of rural business specialists. You will work across a diverse client base, delivering professional rural services and building strong relationships with landowners and occupiers who have mixed interests and wide-ranging needs. This is a senior role within the business and progression to the partnership will be an option for the right candidate.
The Location
Perth - Our headquarters, situated on the banks of the River Tay, has been home to Bell Ingram since 1962. This office has the largest team across all our locations, with specialists in Rural Land Management, Estate Agency, Architecture, Forestry, and Utilities. Our in-house Accounts Department, which provides financial services for clients and Bell Ingram itself, together with our marketing team, is also based here.
The Role
You will lead on estate management and valuations and contribute to the full range of rural surveying services, including:
- Rural property, agricultural and residential estate management, including renewable energy projects, natural capital, forestry, and sporting interests.
- RICS Red Book valuations and property appraisals across all types of property for all purposes and varied interests.
- Property consultancy on sales, purchases, landlord and tenant matters, compensation claims, development and diversification projects.
- Strategic land management advice for private and public sector clients.
- Business development with new and existing clients.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys team work, building trusted relationships, solving problems, and helping rural businesses and landowners achieve their objectives. You'll bring:
- A broad range of experience in rural surveying and estate management.
- MRICS or AssocRICS qualification
- RICS Registered Valuer preferred
- FAAV preferred but not essential.
- Motivation to work both on your own initiative and collaboratively to see your career progress.
- Strong communication, reporting, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A full driving licence and access to a car.
Our people tell us that it's our friendly, welcoming culture that sets us apart. We're not a large corporate organisation — we're a supportive team where you'll be trusted with real responsibility, given the autonomy to thrive, and encouraged to collaborate across different disciplines. With a wide variety of work and opportunities to develop your skills, you'll be part of a business where your contribution really matters.
We Offer
- Competitive salary: We offer a package to reflect your skills and experience
- Bonus and referral schemes

- Generous pension contribution and salary sacrifice pension scheme
- Fertility leave
- Enhanced family leave
- Access to retail discounts through Bravo Benefits
- Electric and Hybrid car salary sacrifice scheme for eligible employees

- Support for those with caring responsibilities, including Carer's Leave and our Carer's Network
- Wellbeing advice for you and your family
- 24/7 access to GP and mental health support
- Volunteer leave, charity matched funding, and charitable donations
- Annual staff conference, social and sporting events
