Sales Manager

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team at JDR Fencing Ltd. You should have a strong background in sales of fencing & decking products. This is a customer focussed position at a busy trade counter.

Responsibilities

Sales/Purchasing

All aspects of Counter Sales. Creating invoices, creating orders and/or quotes, dealing with customer requests/questions etc.

Main Responsibility for ordering ironmongery products (from suppliers list provided by General Manager) to always keep a healthy stock of materials.

Deliveries

Issue Delivery Notes to Yard for Orders to be made up prior to delivery.

Organise daily delivery schedule for drivers for private & contract deliveries, Consult with Yard Manager & Contract Manager regarding deliveries.

Deal with Route Planning & Load Management.

Posting of delivery notes & updating of stock records.

Yard

Consult with Yard Manager regarding orders.

Consult with General Manager regarding stock of Retail timber (seasonal).

Manage all duties required to keep a well-stocked & tidy yard.

What we are looking for:

Previous experience in a timber yard or sales environment.

Good knowledge of fencing timber & decking materials.

Customer focussed, confident communicator.

A team player who can also work independently and manage their own workload.

Good IT skills, comfortable using computer system to process orders etc.

Hours

Mon - Thu 7.30-4.30 & Fri 7.30-3.30
