Sales and Operations Coordinator
Location: Renfrewshire

Salary 35k
Our client is a Industrial company who is well established in Central Scotland.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Sales and Operations Coordinator to become a key part of their growing team.
This is much more than an administration position.
You will sit at the heart of the business, connecting our sales, customers and office function, helping ensure that every job progresses smoothly from initial enquiry through to completion, invoicing and customer follow-up.
They are looking for someone who is a strong relationship manager and takes genuine ownership of their work. Someone who notices what needs to be done, follows things through, communicates confidently and cares about delivering an excellent service to our customers.
The role
You will support the day-to-day coordination of customer requirements and operational activity while also helping the business strengthen customer relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating the sales and operations side of the business as part of the wider operations team.
* Take ownership of the sales and service area of business, managing tasks efficiently and with a high level of accuracy.
* Managing customer enquiries and preparing job quotations, proactively following these up, acting as a key point of contact throughout the customer journey.
* Maintaining accurate job sheets, records, documentation and customer information. Monitoring jobs as they progress and proactively resolving or escalating outstanding actions.
* Responsible for liaising with Operations team and updating with changing customer requirements and priorities.
* Ensuring completed jobs are processed promptly and accurately for customer invoicing.
* Investigating missing information or documentation rather than allowing jobs or invoices to remain outstanding.
* Building long-term relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities for business development.
* Providing wider administrative and commercial support across the business when required.
The ideal person
You'll be joining a busy, growing business where priorities can change quickly and customers sometimes need support outside the neat confines of a traditional working day. So, our client is looking for someone with energy, resilience, initiative and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
* An exceptional sales administrator with excellent customer service skills.
* Confident enough to make commercial decisions, take ownership, identify what needs done without instruction and improve processes.
* Highly organised and comfortable managing several priorities simultaneously.
* Excellent attention to detail, particularly around documentation and invoicing.
* Commercially aware and comfortable recognising opportunities for additional business.
* Remains calm when priorities change or urgent customer requirements arise.
* A willingness to learn the technical and operational side of the business.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Experienced within engineering, facilities, construction or another fast-paced service environment would be advantageous, although attitude, capability and cultural fit will be particularly important.
This role will be working Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, however, this role will suit someone who understands that working within a responsive service business, occasionally requires flexibility. There may be times when an urgent customer or operational requirement needs attention outside normal office hours. We are therefore looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, being responsive when genuinely required and supporting the wider team to get the job done.
If you feel you have the skills and attributes for this unique and exciting role, please apply by uploading your CV.
