Responsibilities

You will provide support to staff and pupils by promoting a positive school ethos; by assisting in the management of pupil behaviour and by establishing contacts and good working relationships with members of the school community.

The Individual

You will work with members of the public, often in sensitive situations. You will have the ability to engender trust and confidence and maintain effective working relationships with all work contacts; pupils, staff and parents/carers. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative with good communication skills and good organisational skills. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
