Full Job Description
We are looking for a Scientific Officer to join a team of translational histologists focussed on the application of quantitative histopathology assays. Daily duties include immunohistochemical staining, whole slide imaging, and the application of basic image analysis algorithms utilising our state-of-the-art instrumentation (Ventana Discovery Ultra, Akoya PhenoImager, Akoya PhenoCycler, Visiopharm, 10x Xenium).
You should possess a BSc in biomedical science and/or an equivalent level of histology experience. It is essential to have experience of immunohistochemistry, and digital image analysis. Experience of working with human tissue in the application of the above techniques is desirable. Previous experience working with multiplex assays, in situ hybridisation, digital pathology platforms, and image analysis is desirable but not essential as training will be provided; enthusiasm and potential are just as important. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential.
