Full Job Description

We require uniformed security officer(s) to join the PWG team based at our prestigious clients site in Leigh, Greater Manchester. You will already hold an SIA Guarding licence and be able to work predominantly on a flexible basis including days, nights and including weekends. Exemplary standards of performance, security and customer service will be required from you as you will be the public face of the company, playing an influential role in the security of the site concerned and the success of the contract.

Duties will involve Customer Service, Patrolling and Static Security guarding and appropriate training will be provided.

The key responsibilities for the Security Officer role will include:

  • Ensure the security of the site

  • Carry out regular patrols

  • Ensuring all incidents are managed in accordance with site policies and procedures

  • Be able to report incidents and liaise with local police officers

  • Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous and helpful at all times whilst carrying out duties

  • To ensure exemplary standards in personal presentation, strictly adhering to the company uniform requirements and core values

  • Have excellent people, decision making and communication skills, Monitoring entrances and greeting visitors

  • Operating CCTV system

  • Patrolling premises on foot

  • Patrolling premises in a vehicle

  • Answering calls

  • Preparing reports

    Full clean driving licence with no penalty points or endorsements as mobile service may be part of your daily duties

  • SIA Security Guarding licence essential plus CCTV would be an advantage

  • Be aged 21 years or over

  • Be fluent in the English language and to be articulate clear, and concise

  • Able to effectively interact with the emergency services

  • Able to maintain written and IT data logs, as necessary

  • Be physically capable of performing the duties of the role, and to be able to manage security incidents to a high standard, remaining calm and focused

  • Have a strong customer service focus with the desire to exceed customer expectations whilst maintaining the appropriate levels of security

  • Have the utmost personal integrity

  • Have no visible tattoos or body piercings except suitable earrings

  • Part-time weekend working Saturday and Sunday 12 hour day shifts, extra shifts upon availability.

    Hours: 07:00 - 19:00 + 19:00 - 07:00

    Annual Leave: 20 days plus bank holidays pro rata
