Sales / Order Processing and Deliveries (very high level of activity)

You are in the LFS-Team of 7 the self-employed person that keeps our products moving and supports the handling of the administrative work with an average workload of 4 - 5 days that

You and our Sales Partner build a small, powerful team. LFS has no formal structure or departments and every Partner is expected to be a good team-member and act as the business would be his / her own: taking responsibility, caring for assets, mainly machinery, minimising costs, maximising profits as this is the basis for your direct linked bonus, keep everything in good working order, tidy and clean to make things looking prestigious for customers.

Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for

• Answering queries from customers, giving advice about the products


• Working through the emails LFS receives to sort the orders and other topics


• Serving customers who self-collect and load their vehicles and trailers


• Take customer contact details and create invoice


• Composing delivery tours, informing customers about plans


• Checking the inventories and quality of the products (moisture content)


• Loading the LFS delivery vehicles by forklift or front-loader (tractor)


• Delivering the products via tipper truck (3.5t) or dropside truck (3.5t) with hydraulic


• Maintaining the vehicles (cleaning, washing, lubricating)


• Handling refundable deposits


• Invoicing customers via Sage


• Processing business data (inventories, production, timesheets)


• Keeping office clean and tidy


• Complying with health and safety policy and procedures at all times


• Update the website with news, information


• Developing and realising ideas to increase the sales volume


• Email customers for promotions or opportunities.
  
  Appealing communication skills and ability to understand the local dialects


• Ability to read a map and to remember sites and customers preferences


• Flexibility in thinking and the skills to combine


• Physically and mentally fitness, self-reliant during deliveries, team-player


• Aged 25+, a clean driving license and allowed to tow a trailer


• Experience of working with tractors, forklifts, van and trailers, clean driving licence


• Good computer knowledge of Microsoft and IT


• Trustworthyness, absolute reliability, tidyness and very good housekeeping skills


• The ability to see what is needed to be done and flexibility.
  
  LFS is the Supplier for Firewood in Aberdeenshire and Moray. LFS is one of the few all year round and full-time working firewood producers to sell best quality Hardwood and Softwood and to provide a professional, regional service to keep customers warm during the complete heating season.


LFS sells as by-products gardening products such as bark, compost, mulch and wood chips and also sells shavings for animal bedding (at the moment there is a waiting list of potential customers). LFS does not sell roundwood / timber.

LFS is located near the Huntly roundabout and delivers to Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray. During the opening hours you are welcome for self-collection.

During holidays of the other partners, you will also take on some of their tasks and your workload may be increased, if you wish to do so. There is the possibility to be part of the rota during Saturdays to man the yard for self-collectors during the heating period.

Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
