Full Job Description

Are you an experienced Architectural Technician with a background in sectors such as education, residential, healthcare, commercial or infrastructure projects? Do you want to work for a reputable and well established specialist Architecture practice in the central belt? Then we have a great opportunity for you.

 

Our client is looking to appoint several Senior Architectural technicians for roles across the studio in their Glasgow studio.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee large scale projects on a day to day basis and ensure designs are completed according to most up to date regulations, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.
  • Monitor more junior members of the team, assisting them with day to day technical problems and accompanying them on site visits etc. You will be tasked with checking their work and it is in line with the correct regulations and standards and that they adhere to company/client/site specific policies and standards.
  • Working in Revit in collaboration with other professionals. You will be collaborating closely with other professionals and clients.
  • Liaising with colleagues and other stakeholders with regard to programme, progress, quality and health and safety.
  • Monitoring work progress and compliance to specifications and standards and collate documentation and records.
  • Working with the Architects to ensure all designs work in a technical sense.
  • Keeping up to date with new technologies and software and assisting in implementation of these.
  • Client/stakeholder liaison (including statutory bodies and third parties)
  • Attend project and management review meetings.
  • Knowledge and understanding of collaborative working. Implementation of collaborative projects.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in supervising large scale, high value projects in the UK.
  • Valid qualification in Architectural Technology.
  • Project running skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in Revit and advising on technical improvements which need to be made.
  • Willingness to travel and to learn and open minded for new technologies.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Full driving licence and vehicle.
