Full Job Description

  • Work closely with clients, predominantly UK but can be overseas offices and other colleagues in providing strategic, technical and tactical claims advice.

  • Guide Marsh clients through complex insurance claims under different classes of insurance policies.

  • Advocate on behalf of Marsh clients with insurers.

  • Contribute to thought leadership on issues affecting the various Insurance sectors.

  • Provide regular training for placing and claims colleagues.

  • Provide support to the wider Marsh service teams through the feedback of claims intelligence to product development colleagues.

  • Support the business in winning and retaining clients.

  • Manage client relationships from a claims perspective.

  • Work with broking, claims and advisory leadership to define the remuneration model for complex claims services.

    Significant claims experience gained within the PD/BI, liability insurance market from Brokers, Insurers or Adjusting background.

  • Proven experience of resolving complex, high value, contentious insurance claims.

  • Significant proven claims management experience.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship management skills.

    An opportunity has arisen to join our Claims Advocacy Team as a Senior Claims Advocate where you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive claims service to Marsh's clients with a focus on technical expertise and complex, contentious, large claims.

  • You will be part of the UK Claims Advocacy Team. The team is part of Marsh Claims Solutions. The Advocacy team business deals predominantly with Property Damage / Business Interruption / Loss of rent, Casualty and Liability claim. The team provides claims advocacy services on behalf of clients where assistance is required on more complex aspects of claims.

    Please note: As this is a UK wide role there is the option of being based in one of the following Marsh offices: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham or London.
