Experteer Overview As Senior Data Analyst, you will lead high-impact analytical work to inform regulatory decisions and support the transition to a sustainable energy system. You will help embed consistent, high-quality analytics across Ofgem, enabling insight-driven decisions and self-service capabilities. The role combines hands-on analytics with technical leadership and stakeholder engagement to deliver data products that add measurable value. You'll contribute to advancing data maturity and a data-driven culture across the organisation, with a focus on governance and ethical use of data. This is a mission-critical opportunity to shape how data informs policy and consumer outcomes. Pay / Benefits

  • Lead design, build, and delivery of analytical products (dashboards, reports, scorecards, visualisations, alerts) using Power BI, Azure Synapse, Power Query, GIS and Python Ensure data quality through cleaning, transformation, modelling and QA to support analytical studies Present findings clearly to diverse customers and enable self-service analytics via trusted semantic models Apply data governance, data ethics, and information security standards across analytical work Collaborate with users to understand needs, refine requirements, and deliver value-driven solutions Provide technical leadership, coaching, and best practices across the team Contribute to R&D and continuous improvement, exploring tools like Copilot Studio and ArcGIS Demonstrate strong statistical and analytical techniques on large datasets Translate business needs into analytical solutions for non-specialist audiences Promote data-driven culture and capability-building across the organisation Tasks Experience with data visualization to develop complex dashboards/reports (Power BI) Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Significant experience applying statistical/analytical techniques to real-world problems Experience identifying business requirements within data governance constraints Proven contribution to building data analytics capability Desirable: experience delivering in an agile, iterative environment Key requirements 30 days annual leave after 2 years Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension contributions hybrid working (1 day in the office, subject to review) flexible working hours training and development opportunities family-friendly policies
