Davidsons Mains Primary School Early Years & Childcare
Salary: £40,501 - £47,639
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Davidson's Mains Primary School Early Years and Childcare for a committed and enthusiastic Senior Early Years Officer to join our large team. We are looking for a strong leader who can bring knowledge, experience, vitality, flexibility and a passion for helping young children develop and grow through planning and providing high quality learning experiences. The successful candidate will have proven leadership and management knowledge, along with experience of leading a large team.
Our setting delivers Early Learning and Childcare to children from 2 - 5 years old for up to 108 children. We offer a variety of placements across 52 weeks as well as term time. Our team consists of 2 Senior Early Years Officers, 3 FTE Early Years Officers, 8 FTE Early Years Practitioners, 3.4 FTE Early Years Assistants, 2 Early Years Domestics and a part-time administrator.
Our Senior Early Years Officers lead the Early Years Officers, Practitioners and Assistants in providing high quality early learning and childcare and spend up to 50% of their time in the playrooms.
Each SEYO works Monday - Friday on an alternating rota basis, with shift patterns being 7.50 a.m. - 3.32 p.m. and 10.18 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.
This post would be suitable for a secondment for someone looking to progress towards the next step in their career.
The person must hold an HNC/SVQ3 in a relevant Childhood Practice award and an advanced early years qualification which accords with the requirements of the Standard for Childhood Practice and meet SSSC registration requirements without conditions. Possession of the BA in Childhood Practice is desirable.
