Full Job Description

Based in Ardler Nursery, you will work full time, 37 hours, on term time basis., You will assist and, where necessary, deputise for the Head of the Nursery in the organisation and management of the service for the benefit of all children and the wider community.

You will work on your own initiative and as a team member who directly contributes to and supports colleagues in the development of a flexible childcare and early education service, which is appropriate to the needs of young children and their families in the nursery and its surrounding communities, within the context of nursery policies and procedures.

You will have an HNC in Childcare/Education or equivalent and hold, or be willing to work towards and achieve, BA in Early Childhood Studies or relevant advanced qualification within an agreed period. You must be eligible for registration as a Lead Practitioner with the Scottish Social Services Council or be willing to achieve this., You will have significant working experience in the provision of education in an early years environment.

You will have experience of working with parents and families and implementing suitable programmes of learning experiences for children.

You will be enthusiastic, committed, flexible and understanding of confidentiality., Disability Confident
